Fenner Conveyors, a Michelin Group Company, seeks experienced Conveyor Technicians - Belt Splicer or Mechanical for Emerald Branch on a permanent full-time basis, working on shutdowns, conveyor installation, and belt repairs.

Conveyor Technician - Belt Splicer or Mechanical

Due to our continued growth and success, we are now seeking experienced Conveyor Technicians - Belt Splicers or Conveyor Technicians Mechanical to join our Service team at Emerald Branch on a permanent full-time basis working on shutdowns, conveyor installation, and general belt repairs and maintenance throughout the greater Emerald region.

Roster & Conditions

• 4/3 roster, Monday to Friday
• Minimum 40 hours week, permanent position
• Overtime opportunities built into shift

What we're looking for: Belt Splicer

• Proven experience in conveyor belt splicing, repairs, maintenance and installations of fabric belt;
• Ability to identify common belt damage/faults and determine method of repair;
• General conveyor maintenance experience
• Experience operating mechanical conveyor belt handling equipment;
• Valid Driver's Licence preferably MR License;
• Current/valid Forklift ticket and Driver's Licence (MR- preferred)
• Certificate II or III in Polymer Processing, whilst not essential, would be advantageous
• Dogging or Rigging ticket (desirable)
• Willingness to work outside of hours as required, and unlimited working rights in Australia

Mechanical

• Prior experience with conveyor systems, or those with highly skilled mechanical background
• Abide by site and company safety policies and procedures.
• Current valid Driver's licence - HR driver's licence desirable
• Ability to work overtime.
• Mining Industry experience - desirable
• QLD Coal Board Medical or ability to successfully obtain (Company funded)
• Tickets: Working at Heights, Confined Spaces - desirable
• Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter or Boilermaker desirable
• Unlimited working rights in Australia
