Job summary

Ozcare is seeking compassionate Care Assistants for permanent part-time, night shift (2230 - 0630) at Currimundi Aged Care Facility. You will provide high-quality, person-centred care and support to residents, working within a multidisciplinary team to maintain dignity and independence.

Role includes assisting with personal care, daily living activities, medication support and documentation. Benefits include salary packaging, leave, uniform allowance and EAP.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing / Disability) is required.
• Current National Police Check (valid within past 3 years) is required.
• Current First Aid and CPR Certificates are required.
• Influenza vaccination and at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccination are required.
• Demonstrated experience assisting with personal care and medication support.
• Good computer literacy and confidence using mobile devices for care documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized care and support according to residents' care plans.
• Assist residents with personal care activities (showering, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility).
• Support activities of daily living to promote independence and wellbeing.
• Assist with medication administration according to policies and procedures.
• Observe, report and document changes in residents' health and wellbeing.
• Maintain accurate records and complete required clinical and funding documentation.
• Contribute to a safe, clean, and comfortable living environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues, residents, families and allied health professionals to deliver holistic care.

Job description

Ozcare has permanent part-time opportunities available for experienced and compassionate Care Assistants to join our team at our beautiful Currimundi Aged Care Facility working Night Duty (2230 - 0630).

As a valued member of our Residential Aged Care team, you will play an important role in supporting residents to maintain their dignity, independence and quality of life through the delivery of person-centred care in a welcoming and supportive environment.

Your Role

As a Care Assistant, you will provide high-quality care and support to residents while working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary care team. Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing individualised care and support in accordance with residents' care plans
• Assisting residents with personal care activities, including showering, dressing, grooming, toileting and mobility support
• Supporting residents with activities of daily living to promote independence and wellbeing
• Assisting with medication administration in line with organisational policies and procedures
• Observing, reporting and documenting changes in residents' health and wellbeing
• Maintaining accurate records and completing required clinical and funding documentation
• Contributing to a safe, clean and comfortable living environment for residents
• Working collaboratively with colleagues, residents, families and allied health professionals to deliver holistic care

Role Requirements

• To be successful, candidates must possess availability to work Night Duty (2230 - 0630) on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesday & Sundays.
• Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing / Disability) or equivalent qualification
• Current National Police Check (valid within the past 3 years)
• Current First Aid and CPR Certificates
• Current Influenza vaccination and at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccination
• Demonstrated experience assisting with personal care and medication support
• Good computer literacy and confidence using mobile devices for care documentation
• Physical capacity to undertake the demands of residential aged care, including mobility assistance and manual handling tasks
