Job summary

Ozcare is welcoming applications for a part-time permanent Care Assistant at our Ayr Aged Care Facility. You’ll provide compassionate care, assist with personal care and daily activities, and help clients maintain independence in a supportive team environment.

Your role includes administering medications as required and working with the care team to ensure holistic, client‑centred care. Vaccination, police check, and relevant certificates are required.

Qualifications

• Experience providing personal care with respect to individual care plans.
• Ability to support client independence and daily living activities.
• Compliance with vaccination and screening requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care and support to clients per care plans.
• Assist clients with personal care, showering, dressing and daily activities.
• Support clients with medication requirements as directed.

Ozcare has part time permanent opportunities available for Care Assistants supporting our clients at our beautiful Ayr Aged Care Facility.

Your Role

As a Care Assistant you'll be looking after the most important people in our organisation - our clients. Your tasks will include:

• Providing the very best care and support to clients in line with their personalised care plans
• Assisting clients to develop skills to encourage their independence
• Attending to clients' personal care needs, including showering, dressing and other daily activities
• Assisting clients with their medication requirements
• Working as part of the care team, using a holistic approach, to look at every aspect of our clients' care

Role Requirements

• Be vaccinated against Influenza & at least 1 dose of Covid-19 vaccine
• National Police Screening Check (valid within last 3-years)
• Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care or Home & Community Care
• Current First Aid & CPR Certificates
• Good computer and mobile device skills
