Great Ocean Road Coast and Parks Authority in Apollo Bay VIC is seeking a friendly Caravan Park Attendant to deliver high standards of customer service across Apollo Bay Recreation Reserve and Marengo Family Caravan Park. This casual role combines reception, cleaning, and grounds maintenance in a stunning coastal setting.

You will manage bookings, assist with maintenance, help with daily park operations, and work flexibly including weekends.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience in hospitality, tourism, or retail
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, proactive approach
• Practical skills across cleaning, grounds maintenance, or general maintenance
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Good time management and problem-solving skills
• Experience with RMS or similar booking systems (desirable)
• First Aid and safe handling/chemicals experience (desirable)

• Provide friendly, professional customer service at reception and across both Parks
• Manage bookings and enquiries via phone, email, online systems (RMS) and in person
• Maintain park grounds through mowing, gardening, rubbish removal, and general upkeep
• Clean cabins, amenities, kitchens, and shared facilities to a high standard
• Assist with basic maintenance and handyman tasks, including minor repairs and use of tools
• Respond to guest requests and elevate issues as required
• Support the safe and efficient day‑to‑day running of the Parks

We care for parks, reserves and marine environments along the Great Ocean Road, including internationally recognised visitor sites. Working closely with Traditional Owners, communities and stakeholders, we protect environmental, cultural and heritage values while supporting sustainable visitation and long‑term conservation.

About the role

We are seeking a motivated and versatile Caravan Park Attendant to join our team supporting operations at both the Apollo Bay Recreation Reserve and Marengo Family Caravan Park. In this casual role, you will help deliver high standards of customer service, cleanliness, and presentation across both parks.

This is an all‑rounder position suited to someone who enjoys a mix of front‑of‑house reception, cleaning, and grounds maintenance, all while working in one of Victoria’s most iconic coastal locations.

Requirements:

• Current driver’s licence
• National Police Check
• Working with Children Check
• Valid Australian working rights
