Job summary

Great Ocean Road Coast and Parks Authority is seeking Caravan Park Attendants for the Lorne Foreshore Caravan Park. This hands-on, customer-focused role supports reception, cleaning, grounds maintenance and general upkeep to deliver a welcoming guest experience.

Ideal candidates are reliable, adaptable and enjoy providing great hospitality. You’ll work across indoors and outdoors, with some evening cleaning during peak summer; a current Australian Driver's Licence and Australian work rights are

Qualifications

• Customer service experience in hospitality, tourism, accommodation or retail.
• Confidence interacting with guests from a wide range of backgrounds.
• Experience in cleaning and maintaining facilities to a high standard.
• A willingness to perform cabin and amenity block cleaning duties.
• Practical skills in grounds maintenance and outdoor work.
• Basic maintenance or handyman skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Good organisation and time management abilities.
• A proactive and positive approach to work.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and provide friendly, professional customer service.
• Assist with reception duties, including bookings, enquiries and reservations.
• Respond to guest requests and elevate issues when required.
• Clean and maintain cabins, amenity blocks, camp kitchens, offices and other park facilities.
• Complete general housekeeping tasks including vacuuming, mopping, laundry, rubbish removal and bed making.
• Maintain the presentation of the park through mowing, weeding, pruning, mulching and general groundskeeping.
• Undertake basic maintenance and handyman tasks such as painting and minor repairs.
• Assist with stock handling, rubbish collection and maintaining safe, clean and functional facilities.
• Contribute to a positive team environment and help ensure a high standard of guest satisfaction.

The Great Ocean Road Coast and Parks Authority is responsible for protecting and managing one of Australia’s most iconic coastal landscapes. We care for parks, reserves and marine environments along the Great Ocean Road, including internationally recognised visitor sites. Working closely with Traditional Owners, communities and stakeholders, we protect environmental, cultural and heritage values while supporting sustainable visitation and long‑term conservation.

About the Role

The Great Ocean Road Coast and Parks Authority (GORCAPA) is seeking enthusiastic and reliable Caravan Park Attendants to join the team at Lorne Foreshore Caravan Park.

This is a hands‑on, customer‑focused role that plays an important part in creating a welcoming and enjoyable experience for our guests. As a Caravan Park Attendant, you'll support the day‑to‑day operation of the park through a mix of customer service, reception, cleaning, grounds maintenance and general upkeep activities.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their workday and is happy working both indoors and outdoors. You'll be required to clean amenity blocks and cabins and will also have the opportunity to work shifts in reception, assisting guests and supporting bookings and enquiries.

Please note that some evening cleaning shifts will be required during the peak summer period from December through to the end of January.

What You’ll Do

What We’re Looking For

• A valid Working with Children Check.
