Job summary

Great Ocean Road Coast and Parks Authority is seeking a Cape Otway Lightstation Tour Guide to deliver engaging, educational tours and provide memorable visitor experiences. You will present historic content, manage group tours, and ensure safety while guiding guests through the Lantern Room and surrounding areas.

Applicants should have a tourism/hospitality background, a current First Aid certificate (desirable) and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Tourism or hospitality experience as a Tour Guide.
• Current First Aid Certificate (desirable).
• Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality tours and engage guests at Cape Otway Lightstation.
• Present accurate historic content and maintain clear interpretive displays.
• Ensure visitor safety by following OHS procedures and guidelines.
• Adapt presentations to various group sizes and needs.
• Provide informative commentary in the Lantern Room about the Lighthouse history.
