Job summary

Suncorp Group in Canberra is seeking a dedicated Claims Advisor to manage a portfolio of MAI claims arising from motor vehicle incidents. The role focuses on delivering compassionate customer service while driving commercial outcomes and ensuring regulatory compliance.

You will work with medical providers and internal teams to facilitate recovery, assess needs, and negotiate settlements where appropriate, contributing to timely resolutions.

Qualifications

• Experience handling MAI and personal injury claims.
• Ability to deliver compassionate customer service across stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of ACT MAI scheme and relevant legislation.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of MAI claims for motor vehicle injuries.
• Facilitate customer recovery and resolve claims promptly with optimal outcomes.
• Provide excellent service to customers, colleagues, and medical providers.
• Assess treatment and rehabilitation needs and ensure compliance timeframes.
• Review quantum and estimate of claims using available evidence.
• Negotiate settlements and attend settlement conferences or hearings.
• Collaborate with Injury Management and other internal teams as needed.
