Suncorp Group is seeking a Claims Advisor for the Medical Only portfolio in Newcastle, NSW. This full-time, permanent role focuses on managing a portfolio of workers compensation claims with a strong emphasis on customer service and regulatory compliance.

You will review medical and related reports, coordinate with stakeholders, and implement effective strategies to achieve positive outcomes for injured workers while maintaining cost efficiency. A hybrid work arrangement is available.

We are looking for Claims Advisors to join our Workers Compensation team, managing a portfolio of personal injury claims.

What you'll do

• Obtain and review medical, financial, investigative, and rehabilitation reports to support the accurate assessment of individual claims.
• Ensure legislative compliance timeframes are met while conducting ongoing reviews of medical, financial, investigative, and rehabilitation reports.
• Develop and implement appropriate strategies to resolve claims efficiently and cost-effectively.
• Facilitate early access to appropriate rehabilitation services so injured workers can achieve the best possible recovery outcomes.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to legislative authorities, employers, and injured workers through legislative compliance, timely responses, and efficient claim management.

What you'll bring

• Previous Workers Compensation or personal injury claims experience, with a proven track record of delivering results.
• The ability to demonstrate compassion and empathy when supporting customers through challenging circumstances.
• Allied Health experience is highly regarded.
• Strong verbal communication skills, with the ability to listen, build rapport, communicate complex information, and negotiate with a variety of stakeholders, including claimants, third-party providers, external bodies, and internal teams.
• Excellent administrative and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage all aspects of a claim within legislative requirements.
• A strong commitment to customer outcomes and a high degree of integrity, helping to meet and exceed customer expectations.
