Job summary

Dooleys Lidcombe Catholic Club in Sydney, NSW is seeking an experienced Business Technology Analyst to support analysis, optimisation and continuous improvement of business processes, information systems and technology solutions.

You will work with business stakeholders, ICT teams and external technology providers to understand needs, define requirements, and support implementation of technology solutions including AI-enabled capabilities.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Information Systems, Business Analysis, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience in a business or systems analysis role within an IT or operational environment.
• Experience with enterprise systems (CRM, ERP, HR, Finance, POS, or membership management).
• Hospitality/club/service environment experience is desirable.
• Compliance with Responsible Service of Alcohol and Responsible Conduct of Gaming.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Attention to detail and ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.
• Understanding of data reporting tools and database concepts (SQL, Power BI).

Responsibilities

• Engage with stakeholders to identify and document business requirements across processes and systems.
• Conduct interviews and workshops to define detailed functional and non-functional requirements.
• Analyse business processes and information flows to identify inefficiencies and opportunities.
• Translate requirements into functional specs and system requirements for ICT teams.
• Evaluate technology solutions against business needs and recommend improvements.
• Analyse data requirements and improve data quality, reporting capabilities.
• Support BI reporting and analytics using Qlik, Power BI, or similar tools.
• Identify opportunities for automation and AI-aligned technologies.
• Assist with testing, validation and deployment of tech enhancements.
• Support change management and knowledge transfer for new systems.

Job description

Dooleys Lidcombe Catholic Club is seeking an experienced Business Technology Analyst to support the analysis, optimisation and continuous improvement of the organisation's business processes, information systems and technology solutions.

The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, management, ICT teams and external technology providers to understand business needs, analyse existing systems and processes, develop business and functional requirements, and support the implementation of effective technology solutions.

The position will contribute to digital transformation initiatives, system enhancements, data and reporting capabilities, process automation and the responsible adoption of emerging technologies, including AI-enabled solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with business stakeholders and relevant technology teams to identify, analyse and document business requirements, operational issues and opportunities for improvement across business processes and systems.
• Conduct stakeholder interviews, workshops and process reviews to investigate business needs and define detailed functional and non-functional requirements for technology solutions.
• Analyse existing business processes, workflows, information flows and system functionality to identify inefficiencies, risks, gaps and opportunities for process and system improvement.
• Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications, system requirements, process documentation and technical documentation for ICT development teams and external technology providers.
• Evaluate existing and proposed technology systems, integrations, automation solutions and system enhancements against identified business requirements and recommend appropriate solutions to improve operational efficiency and business performance.
• Analyse data requirements and information flows across business systems, working with business and technology stakeholders to improve data quality, consistency, accessibility and reporting capabilities.
• Support the development, enhancement and optimisation of business intelligence reports, dashboards and analytical solutions using platforms such as Qlik, Power BI or similar technologies.
• Identify and assess opportunities for automation, artificial intelligence and emerging technologies, evaluating their potential business benefits, risks and alignment with organisational requirements.
• Assist with the implementation, configuration, testing and validation of technology system enhancements to ensure that implemented solutions satisfy documented business and functional requirements.
• Support change management, user adoption, system documentation and knowledge transfer associated with the implementation and continuous improvement of business technology systems and processes.

Desired Skills and Experience

The successful applicant will have:

• Tertiary qualification in Information Systems, Business Analysis, or a related field.

• Previous hospitality experience desirable but not essential
