Job summary

Degani Bakery Cafe is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth across multiple venues. You will collaborate with franchisees and venue operators to improve profitability, uphold brand standards, and deliver outstanding customer experiences across a network of sites.

You’ll combine commercial analysis with hands-on coaching, helping operators understand their numbers, execute marketing initiatives, and maintain consistency.

Qualifications

As a Business Development Manager, you'll work closely with franchisees and venue operators to improve profitability, drive business growth, strengthen operational standards, and help deliver exceptional customer experiences across multiple locations.

You'll combine commercial analysis with hands-on coaching, helping operators understand their numbers, improve performance, execute marketing initiatives, and maintain brand standards. Working closely with marketing, operations, and training teams, you'll play a key role in supporting the success of the network.

What You'll Be Doing

Coaching and mentoring venue owners and managers to improve financial performance

Analysing P&ls and identifying opportunities to increase profitability

Supporting franchisees with business planning, leadership, people management, and local growth initiatives

Driving participation and execution of national marketing campaigns

Conducting venue visits, audits, and performance reviews

Maintaining brand, food quality, customer service, and operational standards

Supporting onboarding, training, and development programs across venues

Using business systems and reporting tools to monitor performance and identify opportunities for improvement

About You

We're looking for someone who understands hospitality from the ground up.

Ideally, you will have come from a food-focused background and be comfortable in a busy environment. You might be a venue manager, café owner, chef, operations manager, or hospitality leader who has a genuine creative passion for food and customer experience. You understand what makes a venue successful, and you're excited by the opportunity to influence and support multiple locations rather than just one.

You'll also bring:

Experience in hospitality, food service, franchising, retail, or multi-site operations

Strong commercial acumen and confidence working with financial reports and P&ls

Excellent coaching, communication, and relationship-building skills
