Job summary

Bonson Packaging is seeking a driven Business Development Manager to identify, secure, and close new business across Australia. You will develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline, leverage existing contacts, and work towards KPIs under the CEO oversight.

The role requires 3-5 years in F&B manufacturing/packaging, excellent communication, and a proven track record of closing deals. Travel Australia-wide is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in F&B Manufacturing or F&B Packaging sectors.
• Having previous experience in the F&B Manufacturing or F&B Packaging sectors is essential.
• Have a proven track record of success in closing new business.
• Demonstrate excellent written, verbal and presentation communication skills.
• Be polished & well presented.
• Be prepared and able to travel Australia-wide as this is a national role.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and apply a high-level knowledge of the company's portfolio of products and food packaging industry requirements.
• Actively manage the business development process: lead generation; credentials pitch; asking questions; solution pitch; negotiation; close; trial period; and after-sales support.
• Prepare proposals, including detailed costings and contract documents.
• Present effective and professional presentations regarding the company's products, as well as our manufacturing and design capabilities.
• Undertake product-related market research, provide market intelligence and identify market opportunities.
• Have experience or familiarity with RFP processes and preparation of RFP submissions.
• An understanding of customer price review processes and submissions.
• Evaluate the feasibility of new product ranges, provide costing analysis, and review source(s) of supply and other related investigations.
• Prepare product development plans/timelines and take a proactive approach to achieving milestones.
• Review product performance and report on launch and trial periods.

Bonson continues to grow from strength to strength, operating in a market that is rich with new business opportunities. That said, we are looking for a Business Development Manager – Australia to join our team and drive the acquisition of these opportunities Australia-wide.

As Business Development Manager – Australia, you will be responsible for identifying, securing and closing new business by using your sales abilities and existing contacts. You will be tasked with creating and maintaining an effective sales pipeline and will work towards agreed KPI's. This is a highly autonomous role which reports directly to the CEO.
