Forks 4 U Pty Ltd is seeking a Business Development Manager in Townsville or Mackay, QLD to drive sales of forklifts and related material handling solutions.

You will develop new business, build strong customer relationships, and coordinate quotations through the full sales cycle. Travel is frequent in the assigned territory, with ongoing training and support to help you succeed.

Qualifications

• Experience selling forklifts or capital equipment is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities.
• Proven ability to develop new business and manage key accounts.

Responsabilités

• Develop new business through prospecting, networking, and referrals.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers within the territory.
• Understand customer requirements and recommend forklift/materials handling solutions.
• Prepare quotations, negotiate pricing, and close sales opportunities.
• Manage the sales process from enquiry through delivery and after-sales support.
• Achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
• Maintain accurate CRM records and sales activity.
• Must travel frequently within the assigned territory.
• Work independently while contributing to a collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities

Develop new business through prospecting, networking, and customer referrals.

Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.

Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable forklift and materials handling solutions.

Prepare quotations, negotiate pricing, and successfully close sales opportunities.

Manage the sales process from initial enquiry through to delivery and after-sales support.

Achieve monthly and annual sales targets.

Maintain accurate customer records and sales activity within the CRM system.

Must be able to travel frequently to visit customers throughout the assigned territory.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Sales experience, preferably in forklifts, construction equipment, automotive, industrial equipment, or other capital equipment (preferred but not essential).

Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

A proactive and self-motivated approach to generating new business.

Outstanding customer service and relationship‑building abilities.

Good computer skills and experience using CRM systems.

The ability and willingness to travel frequently within our sales territory.

The ability to work independently while contributing to a supportive team culture.
