We are a global recruitment agency looking for an experienced Business Development Manager for one of our clients, a leading distributor of security and communication technology across Australia and New Zealand.
This is a senior, hands-on sales role for someone who already knows the Australian security industry. You will be responsible for developing new business, expanding existing accounts, and building strong relationships across the security and technology ecosystem.
This is not an inbound sales role. We are looking for someone who is comfortable creating opportunities, opening doors, building their own pipeline, and developing long-term relationships with enterprise customers.

What You'll Do Doing
- Identify, prospect, and develop new business opportunities across NSW
- Build relationships with consultants, builders, specifiers, designers, installers, and other industry stakeholders
- Grow existing enterprise accounts while identifying opportunities to expand EOS's footprint
- Build and execute a regional business development plan against individual revenue targets
- Develop your own pipeline while working with existing accounts and opportunities within the company's CRM
- Deliver product demonstrations, presentations, and solution-based proposals to prospective and existing clients
- Work with enterprise-level security solutions and complex system designs
- Assess which products and solutions best suit each project
- Manage major opportunities throughout the sales cycle, from initial prospecting through to close and post-sale relationship management
- Maintain an accurate and well-organised pipeline and sales forecast
- Work closely with the wider sales and technical teams
What We Are Looking For
- Minimum 5 years of experience within the Australian security industry
- Proven experience in business development, technical sales, or solution-based selling
- An established understanding of the Australian security market and its key stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to generate new business and build your own pipeline
- Experience working with indirect sales models and complex B2B sales cycles
- Working knowledge of IP-based technologies, networking, and security hardware/software
- Strong relationship-building, negotiation, presentation, and communication skills
- Proven ability to manage opportunities from prospecting through to close
- Full working rights in Australia
- Comfortable working full-time from the office
Highly regarded:
- An existing network within the Australian security industry
- Electrical engineering, engineering, or other relevant technical background
- Experience selling CCTV, access control, intercom, networking, or related security technologies
- Experience managing enterprise or high-value accounts
