Job summary

EVT Limited, owner of Rydges Sydney Central, is seeking an experienced full-time breakfast chef to lead the breakfast buffet and support the hotel team. The role focuses on breakfast and lunch shifts in a busy hotel environment.

You’ll train and mentor junior staff, maintain high cleanliness standards, and communicate clearly with guests and colleagues. This Daymaker culture offers opportunities across EVT’s entertainment, ventures and travel experiences throughout Australia and New Zealand.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a busy hotel, club or similar environment.
• Experience across sections with bulk cooking and buffets.
• Ability to train and mentor junior staff and maintain consistency.
• Strong communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude.
• Attention to detail, high standards of cleanliness.
• Ability to multitask and perform under pressure while delivering a high standard.
