Job summary

Travelodge Hotel Melbourne Docklands seeks a passionate Breakfast Chef to join our kitchen team. You will prepare high-quality breakfast items, follow brand standards, and uphold strict food safety practices in a fast-paced environment.

You will work closely with an experienced team to ensure consistent presentation, efficient service and excellent guest experiences from early morning shifts.

Qualifications

• Commercial kitchen or hospitality experience preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes, procedures and instructions precisely.
• Understanding of food safety, hygiene and safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present menu items according to recipes and brand standards.
• Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation and consistency.
• Keep workstations and equipment clean, organised and hygienic.
• Follow food safety, hygiene and safety procedures at all times.
• Collaborate with kitchen and F&B teams to deliver exceptional dining experiences.
• Monitor stock levels and minimise food waste through portion control.
• Assist with receiving, storing and rotating stock as required.
• Contribute to a positive, high-performing kitchen environment.
• Prepare and deliver breakfast service efficiently with quality and speed.
• Monitor buffet or à la carte service and replenish items as needed.
• Prepare ingredients and set up for subsequent service periods.
