Job summary

Rydges Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Breakfast F&B Supervisor to lead the breakfast operation, ensuring guests receive excellent service while the team works efficiently and profitably.

The role is hands-on and requires supervising shifts, coaching staff, and stepping in on the floor during service, with morning hours and weekend availability as needed.

Qualifications

• Ideally previous experience working in a supervisor role in events, hotels or hospitality venues.
• Experience managing guest expectations and supporting the food & beverage service.
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail and work ethic.
• Experience managing teams and coaching staff.
• Professional with a keen eye for detail and aesthetics.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and oversee service standards throughout breakfast, anticipating guest needs and promoting the venue and brand.
• Ensure the buffet area, restaurant and beverage stations are clean, stocked and ready, completing the opening checklist and reporting any maintenance or operational issues.
• Monitor food replenishment and communicate with the kitchen team to keep service running smoothly.
• Handle guest enquiries, complaints and special requests with a warm, professional approach.
• Maintain cleanliness and compliance with food safety standards at all times.
• Support team members during busy periods, including supervision, role allocation and on-the-job training as required.
• Build a strong team culture and deliver a great guest experience, drawing on solid food and beverage product knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

The Breakfast F&B Supervisor leads the day-to-day operation of the breakfast operation ensuring guests receive consistently excellent service while the team operates efficiently, slowly, and profitably. This is a hands-on leadership role: supervising rostered shifts, coaching casual and permanent staff, and stepping in on the floor during service.

You must be available to work in the morning and flexible to work at weekends when required.
