Job summary

Tradelink Gladstone is seeking a Branch Assistant Manager to join our team in Gladstone, QLD. This full-time role supports the Branch Manager in delivering exceptional customer service, upholding store standards, and driving branch performance in our local community.

You will supervise staff, manage stock, assist with merchandising, and help meet sales targets while ensuring health and safety compliance. A proactive leader with strong communication skills will thrive in this hands-on retail

Qualifications

• Proven retail management or supervisory experience.
• Strong leadership with ability to motivate and develop team.
• Excellent customer service focus and professionalism.
• Sound knowledge of retail operations, inventory management and stock control.
• Demonstrated ability to meet sales targets.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Willingness to work full-time including weekends/public holidays.
• Desirable: experience with Tradelink or similar trade retail environments.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the overall management and operation of the branch, including opening and closing procedures.
• Supervise and mentor staff, ensuring high standards of customer service and product knowledge.
• Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management, ordering, and stock rotation.
• Support the implementation of company policies and procedures across branch operations.
• Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally, resolving issues promptly.
• Contribute to sales targets and branch performance by promoting products and engaging the team.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised store in line with health and safety rules.
• Support Branch Manager with scheduling, training, and staff development.
• Assist with merchandising, displays, and promotional activities.
• Manage cash handling and point-of-sale systems with accuracy and integrity.
