Job summary

Wilmar Sugar & Renewables is seeking a hands-on Boilermaker for our Proserpine Mill to maintain and improve rolling stock, including cane bin repairs and locomotive work. You will work in a supportive team and take on real responsibility in a permanent full-time role.

Based in Proserpine, the position follows a day work roster with potential weekend overtime. A Certificate III in Engineering - Boilermaking and a current driver's license are required; forklift and crane certifications are highly

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Engineering - Boilermaking Trade.
• Current driver's license.
• Forklift, Overhead Crane, Basic Rigger, Dogger and/or EWP HRWL certifications highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Keep Things Running Smoothly: Provide timely, safe, and efficient maintenance services, tackling both planned and unplanned jobs, and ensuring high standards are met.
• Evaluate and Improve Assets: Help assess the lifespan and performance of our assets.
• Keep Documentation Spot On: Ensure work orders, permits, timesheets, and reports are completed accurately and on time, maintaining compliance and efficiency.
• Uphold Quality and Teamwork: Work within a collaborative environment, conducting inspections, identifying problems, and implementing improvements to ensure the highest quality standards.

Are you a skilled Boilermaker ready to make an impact? At Wilmar Sugar & Renewables, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining and improving operations. In this role, you’ll be part of a supportive team focused on fabricating and maintaining rolling stock — from cane bin repairs to locomotive work. This is a permanent full-time position based at our Proserpine Mill which follows a year-round day work roster and may require some weekend work and overtime.

Your Winning Combination

Our ideal candidate will hold a Certificate III in Engineering - Boilermaking Trade, along with a current driver's license. If you have additional certificates, that's a plus, Forklift, Overhead Crane, Basic Rigger, Dogger and/or EWP HRWL would be highly regarded!
