Wilmar Sugar Australia is seeking a skilled Diesel Fitter to join our Mobile Services team at Proserpine Mill in the Mackay Region. This permanent role involves maintaining and repairing our locomotive fleet and mobile plant, with night shifts during the Crushing Season (June–Dec) and day shifts during the Maintenance Season (Jan–May).

The ideal candidate will have a Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering (Diesel Fitter) or Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology, plus proven

• Experience in servicing and repairing diesel engines and mobile plant, with a heavy industrial background.

Responsibilities

About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Diesel Fitter to join our Mobile Services team at Proserpine Mill. As a Diesel Fitter, you'll be working in a dynamic environment, maintaining and repairing our critical locomotive fleet and mobile plant.

This is a permanent position which will require shift work (nights only) during the Crushing Season, June – Dec, and Day Work during the Maintenance Season, Jan - May. You'll have the chance to dive into a role that offers both challenges and rewards, making a real impact in an industry that’s unlike any other.

Your Qualifications & Experience

Our ideal candidate will have:

• Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering (Diesel Fitter) or Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology.
• Proven experience in servicing and repairing diesel engines and mobile plant, with a strong background in heavy industrial work.
