Job summary

Wilmar Sugar & Renewables is seeking a skilled Boilermaker for a permanent full-time site-based role at the Proserpine Mill. The job involves maintaining and improving rolling stock and related equipment across cane bin repairs and locomotive work, with a focus on safe, timely service.

The ideal candidate holds a Certificate III in Engineering - Boilermaking Trade, a current drivers license, and relevant forklift/crane/rigging qualifications are highly regarded.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Engineering - Boilermaking Trade is required.
• Current driver9s license is required.
• Forklift, Overhead Crane, Basic Rigger, Dogger and/or EWP HRWL certifications are advantageous.
• Proserpine Mill, on-site role with a year-round day work roster.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely, safe, and efficient maintenance services for planned and unplanned jobs.
• Evaluate and improve asset lifespan and performance.
• Maintain accurate work orders, permits, timesheets, and reports with compliance and efficiency.
• Uphold quality standards through inspections and collaborative problem solving.

This is a permanent full-time position based at our Proserpine Mill which follows a year-round day work roster and may require some weekend work and overtime.

Your Role in Action

• Keep Things Running Smoothly: Provide timely, safe, and efficient maintenance services, tackling both planned and unplanned jobs, and ensuring high standards are met.
• Evaluate and Improve Assets: Help assess the lifespan and performance of our assets.
• Keep Documentation Spot On: Ensure work orders, permits, timesheets, and reports are completed accurately and on time, maintaining compliance and efficiency.
• Uphold Quality and Teamwork: Work within a collaborative environment, conducting inspections, identifying problems, and implementing improvements to ensure the highest quality standards.

Your Winning Combination

Our ideal candidate will hold a Certificate III in Engineering - Boilermaking Trade, along with a current driver's license. If you have additional certificates, that's a plus, Forklift, Overhead Crane, Basic Rigger, Dogger and/or EWP HRWL would be highly regarded!
