Job summary

Wilmar Sugar is seeking a maintenance professional for the Proserpine Mill on a permanent full-time basis. The role follows a year-round day work roster and may require some weekend work and overtime, with the Whitsunday region offering a coastal lifestyle and access to beaches and reef.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade is required.
• Medium rigid truck licence (MR) with willingness to obtain one is required.
• Manual driver's licence is required; extra certificates are advantageous (Basic Rigger, Dogger HRWL).

Responsibilities

• Carry out repairs and modifications to rail infrastructure, including general fabrication.
• Provide guidance, active involvement and coaching to ensure safe working procedures are achieved.
• Assist in identifying the scope of work and ensure work orders and permits are completed accurately and on time.
• Conduct inspections and implement improvements to uphold the highest quality standards in a collaborative environment.

Your Role in Action

• Keep Things Running Smoothly: Carrying out repairs and modifications to all rail infrastructure, including general fabrication
• Coach and Mentor: Provide guidance, active involvement and coaching in assisting to ensuring safe working procedures are achieved
• Scope Work: Assisting in the identification of the scope of work required, also ensure work orders, permits are completed accurately and on time, maintaining compliance and efficiency.
• Uphold Quality and Teamwork: Work within a collaborative environment, conducting inspections, identifying problems, and implementing improvements to ensure the highest quality standards.

About the Candidate

Our ideal candidate will hold a Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade, along with a current medium rigid truck licence (or willingness to obtain one), and a manual driver's license.
