Job summary

Wilmar Sugar & Renewables in North Queensland invites applications for a Fugal Operator in our Invicta Mill. You'll transform raw ingredients into raw sugar, work with the production team, and contribute to a lively, safety-conscious plant.

The role requires shift work during Crushing season (June–Dec) and day work during Maintenance season (Jan–May). Training is provided for candidates with the right aptitude and team fit.

Qualifications

• Excellent communicator with basic maintenance skills.
• Willing to undergo training for required licences and safety procedures.
• Shift work availability during Crushing season and Maintenance season.

Responsibilities

• Produce Raw Sugar and seed/magma that meet quality standards.
• Collaborate with Mill management, Pan Boilers and Shift Team.
• Sample, inspect and perform basic analysis on streams.
• Maintain housekeeping practices around the fugal station for a safe environment.
• Inspect plant and equipment; complete maintenance requests as required.
• Complete logbooks and data collection for management.

As aFugal Operatorat Wilmar Sugar & Renewables, you will be working as partofour sugar production team, where you'll transform raw ingredients into raw sugar while having a blast! Located at our Invicta Mill in beautiful North Queensland, the local area offers a laid-back lifestyle, with exciting outdoor adventures right at your doorstep. Whether you're into fishing and boating, hiking, or just chilling by the beach, the Burdekin Region has it all waiting for you.

This is a permanent position in our sugar processing factory which requires Shift Work during the Crushing season (June - December) and Day Work during the Maintenance season (Jan - May).

Your Role in Action

• Sweet Systems: Produce Raw Sugar and C seed/magma that consistently satisfies quality and technical standards with minimal disruption to operations and product loss.
• Collaboration Crew:Work in conjunction and communicate effectively with the Mill management, Pan Boilers and Shift Team.
• Data Detective:Sample, inspect and perform basic analysis on sugar and molasses streams.
• Housekeeping Hero: Maintain excellent housekeeping practices around fugal station to ensure a safe work environment.
• Efficiency Enforcer:Perform regular inspection of plant, equipment and complete maintenance request as required.
• Accuracy in Action:Complete logbooks, charts and any other data collection required by management.

Your Winning Combination

Our ideal candidate must be an excellent communicator and have basic maintenance skills.
