Job summary

atWork Australia is seeking a BI & Analytics professional to support growing reporting needs. You will migrate assets from SQL Server to Databricks, design robust data models, and develop Power BI dashboards to deliver actionable insights.

You will collaborate with stakeholders, ensure governance and deliver scalable solutions in a fast-paced environment. The role emphasizes data-driven decision support and continuous improvement across analytics functions.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated Databricks experience in a reporting/analytics environment.
• Strong Power BI development with dashboards, models and DAX.
• Solid SQL skills in SQL Server environments.
• Experience designing data models for reporting/analytics.
• Understanding BI best practices, data governance and reporting standards.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Migrate reporting/data assets from SQL Server to Databricks.
• Design/implement robust data models aligned with BI best practices.
• Develop, maintain and enhance Power BI dashboards/reports.
• Refactor existing reports for usability, performance and governance.
• Write/optimize SQL queries to extract, transform and validate data.
• Build DAX measures and semantic models to support decisions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to capture reporting requirements.
