Job summary

atWork Australia is seeking a Senior BI/Analytics professional to support the organisation's growing reporting needs in Western Australia. You will migrate assets to Databricks, design scalable data models, and develop Power BI dashboards to deliver actionable insights for stakeholders.

You will refine reports for performance, governance and usability, write SQL for data extraction, and build semantic models to align with business goals.

Qualifications

• Databricks experience in reporting/analytics
• Power BI dashboards, data models and DAX experience
• SQL Server environment experience
• Designing and optimising data models for reporting/analytics
• Understanding BI best practices, data governance and reporting standards
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple projects and deadlines

Responsibilities

• Supporting the migration of reporting and data assets from SQL Server to Databricks
• Designing and implementing robust data models that align with BI best practices
• Developing, maintaining and enhancing Power BI dashboards and reports
• Refactoring existing reports to improve usability, performance and governance
• Writing and optimisation SQL queries to extract, transform and validate data
• Building DAX measures and semantic models that support business decision-making
• Working closely with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and deliver actionable insights
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across reporting, analytics and data management functions
• Work to KPIs and performance targets in a fast-paced, purpose-driven environment
