Job summary

atWork Australia is seeking a BI & Analytics professional to support growing reporting needs. You will migrate assets to Databricks, design scalable data models, and build Power BI dashboards to deliver actionable insights. You will engage stakeholders to capture requirements and drive continuous improvement across governance and analytics.

The role focuses on delivering high-quality reporting solutions and contributing to KPI-driven outcomes in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience with Databricks in a reporting or analytics environment.
• Strong Power BI development experience including dashboards, data models and DAX.
• Solid SQL skills with experience in SQL Server environments.
• Experience designing and optimizing data models for reporting and analytics.
• Strong understanding of BI best practices, data governance and reporting standards.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple projects and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Migrate reporting and data assets from SQL Server to Databricks.
• Design and implement robust data models aligned with BI best practices.
• Develop, maintain and enhance Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Refactor existing reports to improve usability, performance and governance.
• Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, transform and validate data.
• Build DAX measures and semantic models to support business decisions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and deliver insights.
• Support continuous improvement across reporting, analytics and data management.
• Work towards KPIs and performance targets in a fast-paced environment.
