Job summary

atWork Australia is seeking a BI/Analytics professional to support expanding reporting and analytics needs. You will migrate assets from SQL Server to Databricks, design data models, and build/maintain Power BI dashboards to deliver actionable insights.

You will work closely with stakeholders, focusing on data governance, performance, and continuous improvement across reporting and data management functions in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated Databricks experience in reporting/analytics.
• Strong Power BI development, dashboards, data models, and DAX.
• Solid SQL skills in SQL Server environments.
• Experience designing/optimising data models for reporting/analytics.
• Understanding BI best practices, data governance, and reporting standards.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple projects.
• Experience with data migration or transformation projects.

Responsibilities

• Migrate reporting/data assets from SQL Server to Databricks.
• Design robust data models aligned with BI best practices.
• Develop/maintain Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Refactor reports for usability, performance, governance.
• Write/optimise SQL queries for data extraction/ validation.
• Build DAX measures and semantic models for decision support.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver actionable insights.
• Support continuous improvements in reporting/analytics/data management.
