Job summary

62Thirty Cafe & Bar in Bunbury WA is seeking an experienced and motivated Cafe Manager to oversee daily operations, coordinate food and beverage services, manage staff, monitor stock and financial performance, and uphold a high standard of guest service.

This hands‑on leadership role calls for strong organisational and communication skills, staff rostering, budgeting, and a proactive approach to improving efficiency, customer satisfaction and overall cafe performance.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of relevant management or supervisory experience in cafe, restaurant or hospitality.
• Certificate IV or Diploma in Hospitality Management or equivalent will be highly regarded.
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate daily cafe operations, including food preparation coordination, customer service and dining operations.
• Plan menus with chefs considering customer preferences and seasonal availability.
• Organise events, group bookings, and special functions as required.
• Arrange purchasing of food, beverages, equipment within budget.
• Monitor suppliers, negotiate prices and maintain stock levels.
• Review pricing in line with budgets and business objectives.
• Maintain records of stock, purchases, sales and expenses.
• Monitor revenue and costs to support cafe financial performance.
• Ensure clean, safe and compliant dining and kitchen areas.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and WHS requirements.
• Handle customer feedback and complaints professionally.
• Recruit, train and supervise front-of-house and kitchen staff.
• Prepare staff rosters and monitor performance.
• Maintain service standards and procedures for consistent customer experience.
• Oversee reservations and peak-period service; coordinate kitchen and front-of-house.
