62Thirty Cafe & Bar in Bunbury is seeking a skilled Barista to join our busy waterfront venue. You will craft high quality espresso drinks, prepare beverages and provide friendly service in a fast-paced cafe and bar setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-2 years experience as a Barista in a high-volume café environment.
• Demonstrated ability to prepare a range of espresso-based beverages and operate commercial coffee machines.
• Knowledge of coffee grinding, espresso extraction, milk texturing and beverage presentation.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to operate a POS system and handle payments accurately.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Availability to work the rostered shifts, including weekends or public holidays if required by the business.
• A reliable, punctual and positive attitude, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Understanding of food safety, hygiene and workplace safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, serve and sell a variety of coffee beverages, including espresso-based drinks.
• Select, grind and measure coffee beans, adjust grinders and operate espresso machines.
• Steam and texture milk and prepare alternative milk beverages.
• Take customer orders, provide information about menu items and make recommendations.
• Deliver friendly, efficient and professional customer service in a busy cafe environment.
• Operate the POS system, process payments, and handle transactions accurately.
• Promote cafe products and assist with sales of beverages and light snacks.
• Clean and maintain espresso machines, coffee grinders, utensils and work areas.
• Wash cups, glassware and utensils and maintain cleanliness of service areas.
• Replenish coffee beans, milk, syrups, cups, lids and other supplies; monitor stock.
• Restock refrigerators, shelves and drink dispensers as required.
• Follow food safety, workplace health and safety, and hygiene procedures.
• Assist with general cafe duties to support smooth daily operations
