Job summary

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a bar supervisor or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of cocktails, wines and spirits.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Mandatory RSA and Food Handlers Basic Certificate.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
• Understanding of local liquor licensing laws and venue capacity management.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily bar operations, ensuring efficient service and adherence to health and safety regulations.
• Train and mentor bar staff on cocktail preparation, wine selection, and customer service techniques.
• Develop and implement innovative cocktail menus and beverage offerings to enhance customer satisfaction.
• Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies, and stock control to minimise waste.
• Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally, ensuring a positive experience for all patrons.
• Collaborate with management to plan and execute promotional events and special occasions.
• Maintain bar cleanliness and hygiene standards in line with health regulations.
• Monitor bar performance metrics and provide feedback to improve service quality and profitability.
