Job summary

Westpac Group is hiring a Customer Service Officer at our Ballina, NSW branch to greet customers and deliver tailored banking support. You’ll guide clients through everyday banking tasks, explain digital tools, and connect them with specialists when needed.

A friendly, proactive approach and willingness to learn are essential. You’ll handle cash transactions, promote digital banking, and contribute to your team's service standards while potentially assisting at nearby branches as required.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience, ideally in a customer-facing role.
• Numerical accuracy in handling cash and transactions.
• Resilient and adaptable, able to stay calm under pressure.
• Willingness to learn new procedures and technologies.
• Energetic personality with a genuine can-do attitude.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with banking transactions including cash deposits and withdrawals.
• Maintain accurate cash handling and end-of-day balancing.
• Educate customers on digital platforms such as online banking and the mobile app.
• Identify opportunities to improve customers’ financial wellbeing with tailored solutions.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Ability to work across other branches if required (Ballina, Lismore, Casino, Byron Bay).
