Job summary

Westpac is seeking a Customer Service Officer in Bowral for a part-time, branch-based role. You will greet customers, discuss needs, and guide them to suitable banking solutions while promoting digital platforms and self-service options.

The position focuses on delivering a welcoming, helpful experience across cash transactions and everyday banking tasks. You will support customers with deposits and withdrawals, balance end-of-day cash, and refer complex cases to Home Loans or Business Banking

Qualifications

Customer Service Experience: ideally in a customer-facing role.
Numerical Skills: proficiency in handling cash and financial transactions with accuracy.
Personality: an energetic personality coupled with a genuine passion for helping people.
Resilience: ability to remain calm and composed whilst handling challenging situations.
Adaptability: a will to learn and adapt to new banking procedures and technologies.

Responsibilities

Assist customers with banking transactions including cash deposits and withdrawals.
Maintain accurate cash handling and ensure end-of-day balancing.
Educate customers on digital platforms such as online banking and our mobile app.
Identify opportunities to improve customers’ financial wellbeing through tailored solutions.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
