Job summary

Swissport International AG is seeking a Payroll Officer to manage end-to-end payroll for 5,000 staff on a fortnightly cycle. You will join a medium-sized team reporting to the Payroll Manager and help ensure accurate, timely payroll processing.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of payroll experience, strong Excel skills, and the ability to interpret employment agreements. On-site parking and ongoing training are provided.

Qualifications

• Payroll experience is essential with at least 2 years preferred.
• Strong Excel skills for reporting and data analysis.
• Ability to interpret employment agreements and apply them accurately.
• Attention to detail and stakeholder communication are crucial.

Responsibilities

• Full end-to-end payroll processing.
• Assist with interpreting and implementing required changes.
• Support system implementations and updates.
• Contribute to the development and documentation of robust payroll systems and processes.
• Handle payroll filing and archiving.
• Address payroll queries efficiently.
• Prepare payroll for fortnightly pay runs.
• Respond to payroll queries promptly.
• Process Workers' Compensation claims and payments.
• Manage the processing of monthly journals as needed.
• Perform Payroll General Ledger reconciliations.
• Undertake other duties as requested.
