Swissport is seeking an Experienced Payroll Officer in Australia to manage end-to-end payroll activities. You will handle fortnightly payroll runs, respond to queries, and process workers compensation and journal entries. Qualifications

• 2+ years proven career history in payroll.
• Experience using PayGlobal and Dayforce is highly desirable.
• Self-motivated team player with minimal supervision.
• Strong stakeholder focus and relationship-building.
• Attention to detail is paramount.
• Ability to interpret multiple awards employment agreements.
• Efficient and precise in tasks.
• Solid accounting knowledge and intermediate to advanced Excel reporting.

Responsibilities

• Execute full end-to-end payroll processing.
• Respond to payroll queries promptly.
• Prepare payroll for fortnightly pay runs.
• Process Workers Compensation claims and payments.
• Process journals and Payroll General Ledger reconciliations.
• Lodge company returns with payroll government agencies (ATO, IRD, Payroll Tax, Superannuation).
• Assist with changes in employment instruments and legislative requirements.
• Assist with system implementations and updates.
• Assist with development and documentation of payroll processes.
• Perform other duties as requested.

Your Profile

Experienced Payroll Officer -

• A minimum of 2 years proven career history.
• Experience using payglobal & dayforce highly desirable.
• A highly driven self-motivated team player who can be highly productive with minimum supervision.
• Strong Stakeholder focus with the ability to foster strong relationships.
• Attention to detail is paramount.
• Ability to interpret multiple awards employment agreements.
• Perform required tasks efficiently and precisely.
• Accounting Knowledge - an intermediate understanding is essential.
• Microsoft Office (Excel reporting - intermediate to advanced) is essential.

Your activities

• Full end to end payroll processing.
• Responding to payroll queries in a timely manner.
• Payroll preparation for fortnightly pay run.
• Processing Workers Compensation claims and payment.
• Processing of journals.
• Payroll General Ledger reconciliations.
• Lodging of company returns with relevant payroll government agencies (including ATO, IRD, Payroll Tax and Superannuation).
• Assist with interpretation and implementation of changes in employment instruments and legislative requirements.
