Job summary

Autism Spectrum Australia (Aspect) is seeking a Leader of Learning & Wellbeing (Coordinator Level 1) at our new satellite class within Malek Fahd Islamic School, Greenacre, NSW. This full-time teaching role forms part of Aspect South East Sydney School, delivering autism-specific education across satellites and core sites.

You will lead a team of specialists, collaborate with families, and deliver the Aspect Approach to support student learning and wellbeing. Terms commence Term 1, 2027.

Qualifications

• Recognised University or Tertiary teaching qualifications (as determined by NESA)
• Registration with NESA (NSW Education Standards Authority)
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with others
• Demonstrated leadership abilities including team support
• Experience working with students on the autism spectrum
• Experience in developing IPs and curriculum for students on the autism spectrum
• NSW Working With Children Check for paid employment
• Current driver's licence may be essential depending on location
• Light Rigid (LR) driver's licence desirable
• International Police Check clearance may be required

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the teaching team within the Learning Support Team (LST)
• Collaborate with teachers, aides, therapists and administrators to deliver the Aspect Approach
• Undertake full-time teaching responsibilities
• Partner with parents, carers and school community to ensure high-quality educational standards
