Job summary

Autism Spectrum Australia (Aspect) is seeking a Leader of Learning & Wellbeing to guide a team of specialists in delivering the Aspect Comprehensive Approach. You will lead the Learning Support Team, partner with parents and carers, and may take on occasional in-class duties to ensure high-quality educational standards.

The role emphasizes person-centred planning, family-focused collaboration, and data-driven development of student growth across NSW/SA schools.

Qualifications

• Recognised University or Tertiary teaching qualifications (as determined by NESA).
• Registration with NESA (NSW Education Standards Authority).
• NSW Working With Children Check for paid employment.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with others.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities including team support.
• Experience working with students on the autism spectrum.
• Experience in developing IP's and curriculum for students on the autism spectrum preferred.
• You may be required to provide an International Police Check clearance.
• A current driver's licence may be essential depending on location.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the teaching team as part of the school's Learning Support Team (LST).
• Collaborate with teachers, aides, therapists, coordinators and other Aspect staff.
• Deliver a person-centred, evidence-informed educational approach and may undertake on-class teaching.
