Job summary

Aspect South East Sydney School, in NSW, is seeking a Leader of Learning & Wellbeing (Coordinator Level 1) to join the new satellite class at Malek Fahd Islamic School. This full-time teaching role starts Term 1, 2027 and involves leading a team within the Aspect approach to autism-focused education.

You will work with teachers, therapists and staff to deliver person-centred education, supervise the Learning Support Team, and contribute to curriculum development while maintaining classroom

Qualifications

• Recognised University or Tertiary teaching qualifications (as determined by NESA).
• Registration with NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA).
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with others.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities including team support.
• Experience working with students on the autism spectrum.
• Experience in developing IPs and curriculum for students on the autism spectrum preferred.
• NSW Working With Children Check for paid employment.
• Current driver’s licence (LR) desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the teaching team and partner parents, carers and other school community members.
• Undertake full-time teaching responsibilities within the satellite class.
• Collaborate with a broad team to deliver the Aspect Approach in autism-focused education.
• Contribute to curriculum development and student progress within the Learning Support Team.
