Job summary

Autism Spectrum Australia (Aspect) is a leading autism-specific service provider in Australia. We are seeking a Leader of Learning & Wellbeing to guide a team of teachers, aides and therapists to deliver the Aspect Comprehensive Approach (ACA) with a person-centred focus and strong family involvement.

You will work within the Learning Support Team, supervise staff, coordinate with parents, and potentially undertake on-class teaching duties to ensure high-quality educational outcomes for students

Qualifications

• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with others
• Demonstrated leadership abilities including team support
• Experience working with students on the autism spectrum
• Experience in developing IP's and curriculum for students on the autism spectrum preferred
• NSW Working With Children Check for paid employment
• Possession of a current driver's licence (LR desirable)
• International Police Check clearance may be required

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the teaching team within the Learning Support Team (LST)
• Collaborate with teachers, aides, therapists, coordinators and families to deliver ACA
• Engage with parents and carers to support student growth and learning
• May perform on-class teaching duties as required
