Job summary

Bradken is seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join the HR Services & Reward team in Burswood, WA. You will manage Australian payroll across weekly, fortnightly and monthly cycles for hourly and salaried staff, ensuring accuracy, deadlines and compliance with awards and legislation.

You will collaborate with employees, managers and finance to resolve queries, maintain data integrity and support payroll process improvements while upholding confidentiality and integrity.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of Australian payroll experience.
• Experience processing weekly, fortnightly and monthly payrolls.
• Experience supporting both hourly and salaried employees.
• Working knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, awards, tax, superannuation and wage compliance.
• Strong Excel skills and confidence working with payroll data.

Responsibilities

• Process Australian weekly, fortnightly and monthly payrolls accurately and on time.
• Manage employee changes, benefits, deductions, leave and termination payments.
• Support time and attendance processes for hourly and operational employees.
• Interpret payroll and timekeeping data in line with awards, agreements and legislation.
• Respond to payroll queries from employees, managers and supervisors.
• Investigate payroll discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
• Complete payroll reconciliations, reports, records and audit activities.
• Maintaining accurate employee and payroll information.
• Support improvements to payroll processes and data accuracy.
