Job summary

Bradken is seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join the HR Services & Reward team in Burswood, WA. You will deliver accurate Australian payroll across weekly, fortnightly and monthly cycles for hourly and salaried staff, ensuring timely processing and data integrity.

Reporting to the HR Services Manager APAC, you will respond to payroll queries, perform reconciliations and reporting, and support continuous improvement while maintaining confidentiality and high service standards.

Qualifications

• At least three years’ Australian payroll experience.
• Hands-on experience processing weekly, fortnightly or monthly payrolls.
• Experience supporting both hourly and salaried employees.
• Experience using ADP, which is highly preferred.
• Experience using UKG/Kronos or another time and attendance system.
• Working knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, awards, tax, superannuation and wage compliance.
• Strong Excel skills and confidence working with payroll data.
• High attention to detail and the judgement to question information that does not look right.
• Strong organisation and ability to manage competing payroll deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Processing Australian weekly, fortnightly and monthly payrolls accurately and on time.
• Managing employee changes, benefits, deductions, leave and termination payments.
• Supporting time and attendance processes for hourly and operational employees.
• Interpreting payroll and timekeeping data in line with awards, agreements and legislation.
• Responding to payroll queries from employees, managers and supervisors.
• Investigating payroll discrepancies and resolving issues promptly.
• Completing payroll reconciliations, reports, records and audit activities.
• Maintaining accurate employee and payroll information.
• Supporting practical improvements to payroll processes and data accuracy.
• Handling confidential employee information with care, discretion and integrity.
