Peoplegig in Australia is seeking an HR Advisor to support day-to-day HR operations and act as the first contact for routine HR matters. You will prepare employment contracts, respond to inquiries, maintain records, and support the employee lifecycle within Australian HR practices.
Reporting to the HR Director, this role sits above the HR Administrator, providing guidance and escalating complex issues as needed while ensuring confidentiality and compliance across the business.
This role is responsible for supporting the Australian HR function by managing day-to-day HR operations while acting as the first point of contact for routine HR matters across the business.
Reporting directly to the HR Director, the successful candidate will prepare employment contracts, respond to employee and manager enquiries, maintain HR documentation and records, and support the employee lifecycle while ensuring compliance with Australian HR practices.
Although operational in nature, this role requires a stronger HR capability than a purely administrative position. The successful candidate will possess a solid understanding of Australian HR legislation and basic Employee Relations principles, enabling them to confidently identify HR issues, provide initial guidance where appropriate, and recognize when matters should be escalated to the HR Director.
This role is positioned above the existing HR Administrator in terms of HR capability. The successful candidate will work closely with the HR Director and provide occasional guidance and support to the HR Administrator where required.
Education Requirement
Relevant qualification in Human Resources, Psychology, Business or related discipline preferred.
