Job summary

U&U Recruitment Partners on Laverton North VIC is seeking an experienced Assistant Warehouse Manager to oversee day-to-day warehouse and distribution operations for a major retail contract within a large-scale 3PL environment. You will work with Supervisors and Team Leaders across multiple shifts, staying hands-on while ensuring performance against KPIs and client expectations.

This hands-on leadership role emphasizes safety, people development, and continuous improvement, with responsibilities

Qualifications

• Experience supervising warehouse teams in a contract logistics environment.
• Proven ability to lead, coach and motivate across multiple shifts.
• Strong understanding of inventory management and distribution.
• WHS and Chain of Responsibility knowledge.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee receiving, put-away, inventory control and dispatch.
• Drive KPI and SLAs for a major retail client.
• Plan labour and resources to maximise productivity.
• Lead Supervisors and Team Leaders across shifts.
• Use WMS and RF tech to monitor performance.
• Support safety training and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with transport and client services to resolve issues.
• Forecasting and budgeting support.
