Job summary

Complete Office Supplies Pty Limited in Melbourne is seeking a Team Manager - Production to provide end-to-end leadership for the Melbourne distribution centre, focusing on improving performance, productivity, efficiency and profitability of warehousing and logistics operations.

The Team Manager ensures operational stability and clear accountability across their shift while developing Team Leaders and Leading Hands to build long-term capability.

Qualifications

• Degree in Business Administration, commerce, management, industrial technology, industrial engineering, logistics or supply chain management
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in warehouse leadership
• Experience in automated or semi-automated warehouse environments (conveyor, sortation, robotics, goods-to-person) using WMS to monitor workflow and performance
• Proven ability to lead teams through operational change and drive improvements using KPIs across Safety, Service, Cost, People and Productivity
• Knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management

Responsibilities

• Lead production operations while ensuring compliance and team development
• Support site leadership, including acting for the DC Manager and overseeing site operations
• Drive a safe and compliant workplace, ensuring adherence to WHS, security, legislative, and operational requirements
• Lead safety performance, including hazard management and incident prevention
• Lead, coach and develop team leaders and staff, driving performance, accountability and engagement
• Manage warehouse operations and workforce performance, including attendance, planning, and compliance with procedures
• Oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring inbound, outbound, replenishment and production activities meet service and dispatch requirements
• Optimise shift performance and resources, managing labour, costs, workflow efficiency and operational issues
• Monitor automated and semi-automated systems and respond to bottlenecks and equipment constraints
• Partner with IT, maintenance, vendors and stakeholders to support automation and continuous improvement, monitor KPIs to drive corrective actions
