Job summary

The Belmont Hotel, part of the Don Hodge Group family, is seeking a senior hospitality leader to oversee operations at a busy venue in the Lake Macquarie area. You will manage the day-to-day across bar, bistro, gaming and bottleshop, mentoring managers and driving performance while maintaining exceptional guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Experience as a 2IC/Assistant Manager or senior Duty Manager in a pub or large hospitality venue.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Understanding of financial performance and compliance requirements.
• People-first attitude – lead from the front and support your team.

We’re looking for a confident, hands-on hospitality professional ready to take the next step in their career. Lake Macquarie Tavern is part of the Don Hodge Group – a family-owned hospitality group with venues across Newcastle, Sydney and Forbes, including the Lake Mac Tav and Warners at the Bay in the Lake Macquarie area.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Assistant Manager, Duty Manager or Operations-focused Pub Manager who’s ready to step up. You’ll have the support of an a great General Manager plus Area Manager and strong head office team.

What You’ll Do

• Lead day-to-day venue operations across bar, bistro, gaming and bottleshop
• Manage and mentor a team of department managers and supervisors

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience as a 2IC, Assistant Manager, or senior Duty Manager in a pub or large hospitality venue
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Understanding of financial performance and compliance requirements
• A people-first attitude – you lead from the front and support your team
• RSA, RCG and TAB compliance certificates (required)
• A passion for hospitality and creating memorable experiences
