Qualifications

• Experience as Assistant Manager or strong supervisor ready for the next step.
• A real love for good food and great drinks.
• An in-depth understanding of gaming.
• Current knowledge of NSW liquor legislation (RSA and RCG).
• Hands-on leadership style and positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing all venue operations while on shift, including front bar, bistro, sports bar, gaming and outdoor area.
• Leading, coaching and developing a young and motivated team.
• Keeping a sharp eye on costs, especially labour, without cutting corners on service.
• Setting the vibe with live entertainment, lighting, music and atmosphere.
• Ensuring compliance across liquor, gaming, TAB and KENO requirements.
• Bringing fresh ideas to weekly lineups and improving processes.

We're a lively, community-loving pub in the heart of Ettalong, and we're on the hunt for an Assistant Venue Manager who brings the energy, leads from the front and gets a genuine kick out of making people's day.

You’ll team up with our General Manager to run the show day to day, back a crew who love what they do, and make sure every guest leaves happy (and already planning their next visit).

What you will be doing;

Overseeing all venue operations while on shift, including the front bar, bistro, sports bar, gaming and our incredible outdoor area.

Leading, coaching and developing a young and very motivated team who genuinely enjoy working together.

Keeping a sharp eye on costs, especially labour, without cutting corners on service

Setting the vibe: live entertainment, lighting, music and atmosphere – have an eye for the little things!

Ensuring compliance across liquor, gaming, TAB and KENO requirements

Bringing fresh ideas to our weekly lineup, finding better ways to do things!

What you’ll bring;

Experience as an Assistant Manager, or a strong supervisor who is now ready for the next step

A real love for good food and great drinks!

An in-depth understanding of gaming

Current knowledge of NSW liquor legislation (RSA and RCG required)

A hands-on leadership style and positive attitude: you'd rather show than tell

Strong organisational, time management, written and communication skills

Availability to work a range of shifts, including evenings and weekends
