Job summary

Don Hodge Group is seeking an experienced Venue Ops Manager for Lake Macquarie Tavern. Lead daily operations across bar, bistro, gaming and bottleshop, and mentor a team of managers to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

You will drive sales, ensure compliance, and champion a positive workplace culture while collaborating with head office on marketing, events and community partnerships. RSA, RCG and TAB certificates are required.

Qualifications

• Experience as 2IC, Assistant Manager, or senior Duty Manager in pub/large hospitality.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Understanding of financial performance and compliance.
• People-first attitude and hands-on leadership.
• RSA, RCG and TAB certificates required.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day venue operations across bar, bistro, gaming and bottleshop.
• Manage and mentor a team of department managers and supervisors.
• Drive sales performance, profitability and compliance.
• Champion great service and a positive workplace culture.
• Oversee rostering, training, and venue presentation.
• Work closely with head office on marketing, events and community partnerships.
