Job summary

Universal Store is seeking a driven Assistant Store Manager in Cairns to work a Sunday–Thursday roster, partnering with the Store Manager to lead store operations and deliver exceptional customer experiences.

You will coach the team to hit sales targets, execute VM/promotions, manage inventory insights, and uphold brand standards and culture. This role offers leadership growth and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Previous leadership experience in retail (Shift Supervisor / Assistant Store Manager).
• Strong sales focus with ability to motivate and lead a team.
• Warm, confident communicator with excellent customer service skills.
• Strong operational understanding — VM, stock, store standards.
• Flexible, hands-on, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
• High attention to detail and commitment to brand presentation.

This position works closely with the Store Manager and mirrors many Store Manager responsibilities, making it the perfect step ifyou’relooking to grow your retail leadership career.
