St Thomas Aquinas Primary Springwood in Springwood NSW is seeking an experienced educational leader to join as Assistant Principal on a permanent full-time basis, commencing in 2027. You will support the Principal to lead a thriving Catholic school community dedicated to learning, wellbeing and faith formation.

We seek a faith-filled leader with a track record in curriculum leadership, staff development and strategic school improvement within a Catholic education context.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to build and sustain relationships across the school community with strong Catholic faith and mission.
• Evidence of strong pedagogical leadership and knowledge of curriculum and learning approaches.
• Experience leading teams to improve teaching practice and student outcomes.
• Proven ability to foster wellbeing, inclusion and partnerships with families and community.
• Strategic thinker contributing to leadership teams with evidence-based decision making.
• Commitment to ongoing professional learning, faith formation, and leadership development.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support high-quality teaching and learning practices that improve student outcomes.
• Foster a strong Catholic culture and promote the mission and values of Catholic education.
• Build the capacity of staff through coaching, mentoring and professional learning.
• Champion student wellbeing, inclusion and engagement across the College.
• Develop positive partnerships with students, families and the wider community.
• Work collaboratively as a member of the Senior Leadership Team to achieve school and system priorities.
• Support strategic improvement initiatives through evidence-informed leadership and decision-making.
