Job summary

St Columba's Catholic College, Springwood is seeking an experienced and faith-filled Assistant Principal to join our dynamic and welcoming Catholic secondary school community on a permanent full-time basis.

As part of Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese, the successful candidate will lead with faith, oversee learning, wellbeing and faith formation, and work with families and the Senior Leadership Team to drive strategic priorities across Years 7–12.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to lead teaching and learning across a Catholic secondary setting.
• Strong pedagogical leadership with deep curriculum knowledge.
• Experience in developing teams to improve teaching practice and student outcomes.
• Commitment to wellbeing, inclusion and belonging for students and staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support high-quality teaching and learning practices that improve student outcomes.
• Foster a strong Catholic culture and promote the mission and values of Catholic education.
• Build the capacity of staff through coaching, mentoring and professional learning.
• Champion student wellbeing, inclusion and engagement across the College.
• Develop positive partnerships with students, families and the wider community.
• Work collaboratively as a member of the Senior Leadership Team to achieve school and system priorities.
• Support strategic improvement initiatives through evidence-informed leadership and decision-making.
