Job description

Crowne Plaza Hotels & Resorts – Terrigal NSW

Assistant Night Manager – Crowne Plaza Terrigal

Part-Time or Full-Time | Terrigal, NSW | Beachside Hospitality

About the role

Are you a natural night owl with a passion for hospitality, a knack for making people smile, and the confidence to keep things running smoothly after dark?

Crowne Plaza Terrigal is looking for a motivated, guest-focused Assistant Night Manager to join our Front Office & Guest Services team, with part-time or full-time opportunities available.

Located in beautiful Terrigal on the NSW Central Coast, this is your opportunity to be part of a beachfront hotel where no two nights are quite the same. From welcoming late-night arrivals and helping guests make the most of their stay to keeping hotel operations running seamlessly, you’ll play an important role in creating memorable guest experiences around the clock.

You’ll be a friendly face, a calm problem-solver and a trusted team leader who helps make sure everything runs like clockwork while the rest of the world sleeps.

If you love hospitality, enjoy taking ownership and can handle a little late-night excitement, we’d love to meet you!

What you’ll be doing
  • Be the face of the hotel after dark – welcome guests, manage check-ins and check-outs, and handle enquiries with a warm smile.
  • Create memorable guest experiences – go above and beyond to make every guest feel welcome, valued and well looked after.
  • Lead the night crew – support, guide and motivate front office team members to deliver outstanding service.
  • Keep things running smoothly – oversee nightly hotel operations and ensure everything is ready for a successful new day.
  • Be a night-time problem-solver – respond to guest requests, resolve concerns and turn tricky situations into positive experiences.
  • Keep a watchful eye – monitor hotel security, conduct property walkthroughs and help maintain a safe environment for guests and team members.
  • Balance the books – process payments, reconcile accounts and complete accurate night audit reports.
  • Team up across departments – work with housekeeping, maintenance and other teams to ensure guest needs are taken care of.
  • Stay cool under pressure – handle unexpected situations and emergencies calmly, confidently and professionally.
  • Make every opportunity count – help guests discover our hotel amenities, dining experiences and services.
What we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone who brings great energy, takes pride in their work and understands that exceptional hospitality is all about the little things.

You’ll ideally have:

  • Previous experience in hotel front office operations, night audit or a night management role, preferably in a 4–5-star hotel.
  • Strong leadership skills and the confidence to take charge when needed.
  • A genuine love of customer service and creating fantastic guest experiences.
  • Experience using hotel property management systems and point-of-sale software.
  • Excellent organisational skills, time management and attention to detail.
  • Confidence handling financial transactions, reconciliations and reporting.
  • The ability to think on your feet, solve problems and stay calm when things get busy.
  • Availability to work night shifts, including weekends and public holidays as required.
  • A proactive attitude, a positive approach and the ability to work independently.
  • Current First Aid certification (advantageous).

Most importantly, you’ll be someone who takes ownership, supports their team and understands that a little extra care can make a big difference to someone’s stay.

What we offer

Working at Crowne Plaza Terrigal means more than just a job – it’s an opportunity to grow your hospitality career in a beautiful beachside setting!

Here’s what you can look forward to:

  • Fair pay, always – remuneration in line with the applicable Hospitality Industry (General) Award (HIGA), with pay rates, penalties and entitlements provided in accordance with applicable Fair Work requirements.
  • Flexible employment options – part-time or full-time opportunities to suit the needs of the hotel and successful applicants.
  • A stunning place to work – enjoy being part of a hotel in one of the Central Coast’s most beautiful coastal locations.
