Queens Tavern in Perth is seeking an Assistant Manager to help keep the venue buzzing and loved by locals. You’ll support the Publican, lead a team, and ensure smooth, safe operations with a great vibe.

This hands-on role requires physical tasks and a willingness to learn the ropes of pub management. RSA and Approved Managers Card are required, and previous supervisory experience is preferred. You'll grow your career within ALH Hotels and Endeavour Group.

Qualifications

• Hands-on hospitality management experience is preferred.
• Experience supervising staff in bar or bistro settings is desirable.

Responsabilités

• Assist the Publican to run the pub smoothly, safely and with a great vibe.
• Lead a team of hospitality staff across shifts.
• Handle hiccups and guest concerns to maintain customer satisfaction.
• Be the face of the pub when leadership is away and represent ALH Hotels.

We’re on the hunt for our next Assistant Manager to help keep the Queens Tavern buzzing and loved by the locals.

A day in the life of an Assistant Manager:

• Get to know the locals so well they think you’re part of the crew
• Support the Publican to keep the pub running smoothly, safely, and with a great vibe
• Learn the ropes of being a Publican while leading a team of absolute hospo legends
• Handle hiccups before they turn into headaches
• Bring the energy, the service, and the smiles every single shift

Inherent requirements:

This is a hands‑on role that involves manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties (e.g. moving stock, kegs, and deliveries). Applicants must have the ability to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently.

About you:

• You’ve been around the bar and bistro room block, and maybe already done some supervising
• You’ve learned from great managers and now you’re ready to step up
• You’ve got the confidence, pride, and people skills to be the face of the pub when the boss is away
• You’ve got a current RSA and Approved Managers Cardas per state requirements
